Small Things Philly Featured in The Swarthmorean

The Swarthmorean profiled Rev. Vito Baldini and the rapid growth of Small Things Philly, now one of the region’s largest nonprofit organizations fighting food insecurity. Founded in 2020 during the pandemic, Small Things has since distributed more than 23 million pounds of food and serves 50,000 meals each week through three markets, 50 pantry partners, and a network of 18,000 volunteers.

The article highlights Baldini’s vision to provide food with dignity through grocery-style markets, strengthen community bonds, and launch the next phase of growth—the “unHungry Project”—which will expand markets, serve 25,000 more people, and connect communities to job and training opportunities.
